The Asian Association for Sport Management (AASM) successfully held its 2026 General Assembly on August 21, 2026, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, during the 2026 AASM Conference. The Asian Association for Sport Management (AASM) successfully held its 2nd Executive Committee Meeting of 2026 on August 20, 2026, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The new members of AASM 2025-2027

Sarawak as the first East Malaysian destination to host the conference. All-out support by the Sarawak government to host the AASM2023. It will take place at Imperial Hotel Kuching from 19-20 August.

500 delegates from over 25 countries are expected to attend this year’s conference, including experts from 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar who will share some insights on how to organise sustainable, mega sporting events.

AASM 2023 is organised and hosted by the Asian Association for Sport Management (AASM), Curtin University Malaysia and Sport Management & Administration Association Malaysia (SMAS), with SMAS as the local host.

Yesterday’s press conference featured YB Karim Hamzah and Gerald Rentap Jabu of MYSED, AASM, SMAS, Sarawak Sports Corporation, Kuching Badminton Association and Imperial Hotel Kuching.

All-out support by the Sarawak government to host the next Asian Association for Sport Management Conference this August 19 to 20, 2023. It's amazing enough that they have more than the usual share of sport facilities and sport managers. But they endeavor to do more for sport development and the sport industry! Terima kasih to the visionary Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneurship Development, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah!
